Building measures: complete renovation of a small 70 sqm penthouse
Working period: 2017/2018
Client: single father with one son
The project in a nutshell: I was in charge of the complete design of the interiors, creating a living room with kitchenette, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms.
The protagonists of the house are the light and the sea, two elements that come in strongly from all the windows.
In order to enlarge the spaces and give continuity, I chose the same finishes throughout the house: teak parquet and walls in a simple and elegant intonachino plaster finish in snowdrop colour, which allowed me to play with the colour in the details and to make the most of the brightness of the rooms.
In addition, the landlord was very attached to some important pieces of family furniture, so I placed them alongside modern elements, creating a personal and elegant mix.
I paid painstaking attention to detail, involving highly specialized cabinetmakers to create the furnishings according to my design, such as the built-in wardrobe in the main bedroom in which the door to the private bathroom is completely hidden, up to the choice of upholstery and lighting.
